The world’s largest container glass manufacturer, O-I, will discuss the modernisation of its Gironcourt, France glassworks at a forthcoming conference.
O-I and industrial engineering company Chovet DB2i will present a conference paper titled 'The stage is set for a win-win partnership between O-I and Chovet at Gironcourt-sur-Vraine' at the Glassman Europe conference, which takes place in Lyon, France on September 17 and 18.
O-I’s Jean-Pierre Francois and Chovet’s Nicolas Lelorrain will present the 20 minute presentation. Other speakers at the two-day conference include analysts, glass technology suppliers and a glass association. Each day of the conference will be based on a different theme: Day one will focus on sustainability and trends in glassmaking while day two is the Future Glass Forum, which will investigate Industry 4.0 and digital glassmaking .
Among the day one speakers are Susan Hansen of Rabobank, the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), Germany’s BV Glas and AB InBev. Day two will include Xpar Vision, Glass Service, SGD Pharma, Siemens and Steklarna Hrastnik.
