Flat glass manufacturer Guardian Glass looks set to close its Dudelange site and transfer production to its Bascharage plant, both in Luxembourg.
Local press reports the company employs some 700 people in Luxembourg, of which 220 work at the Luxguard II plant in Dudelange.
The company said high operating costs were the main reason for its plan to close the plant.
Guardian Glass operates 25 float plants around the globe.
