Forglass, known for supplying its glass melting technology across Europe is once again working in its own back yard – this time with the colourless container glass producer operating two furnaces and six production lines in Western Poland. The company has contracted to design, fabricate and install a new technology line for external cullet management. The line will include two 200-ton silos for flat glass cullet and one 200-ton silo for container glass cullet, and it incorporates a unique system for redundant weighing of cullet from each silo. Thanks to this new technology line, the glassworks will be able to increase its production capacity, while remaining friendly to the environment.
Forglass engineers design for the future and this project is no exception. The building and the entire technology line are designed in such as way, as to make it easy to double its capacity by adding an identical line when the need arises.
