Spirig designs and builds Flame Generators (SPIRFLAME®) producing their own combustible gases Hydrogen and Oxygen from water using a worldwide patented multicell electrolysis process.
Applications are fusion, closing, "drilling" of quartz and standard glassware with emphasis on small dimensions down to the size of communication glass fibers, eg manufacturing of so called direct fusion fiber-to-fiber T´s.
Heat-shock separating of glass tubes another important application.
The just-in-time gas production (no dangerous gas storage) and the electronically BTU stabilized heat supply makes these Spirflame®s highly suitable for automated processes.
