The 31st China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as China Glass 2021) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from May 6th to 9th, 2021.
As one of the world two largest professional exhibition among global glass industries, China Glass 2021 will adhere to the organization principle of“Professionalization, Internationalization and Scale-up” to display the comprehensive and innovative development achievements of the global glass industry.
Facing the impact of Covid-19 in 2020, China took the lead in containing the epidemic and economic recovery and was the only country among the major economies to achieve positive economic growth. The 2020 year’s overall production of Chinese glass industry maintained growth, the total annual output of flat glass up to 950 million weight cases, which increased by 1.3% year on year, meanwhile the total revenue and profit of the industry were 92.6 billion Yuan and 13 billion Yuan, which had an increase 39% year on year, this shows steadily growth among glass industry benefits. On the processed glasses, the accumulative output of toughened glass, laminated glass and insulating glass was up respectively to530 million square meters, 110 million square meters and 150 million square meters in 2020. The overall production remains stable.
The 2021 year is the first year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, its economic development will turn to ahigh-quality development stage. China will continue to expand domestic demand, build a new development patterns, stabilize and expand consumption, improve the new urbanization strategy and other top-level policy implementation, so as to promote further development in the energy efficiency building, automobile, consumer electronics and photovoltaic industry.The energy saving and carbon reduction in construction industry is a key link to implement the goals of both “Reaching the Peak of Carbon” and “”Carbon Neutral” in China, therefore the energy saving glass, power generation glass and other innovative materials and products will provide more application directions for the development of green low-carbon buildings.
