Glass engineering company Sorg has acquired a share of ITEC GmbH, independent design office for the glass industry based in Plößberg, Germany.
ITEC was formed in 1999 by Robert Üblacker and since then has completed the design of numerous glass melting furnaces, covering the repair of existing installations and the complete planning of new furnaces
On the 20th anniversary of the formation of the company Mr. Üblacker has designated his successor.
At the end of October 2020 he stepped down from his position as Managing Director and at the same time Sorg, of Lohr am Main acquired a share of the company. Clemens Eidmann took over the position of Managing Director on November 1 2020.
ITEC will continue to operate as an independent company.
Customers will still be able to trust in the competent technical advice provided by Robert Üblacker and ITEC technical manager Thomas Reger.
